CLIPS
Most of today's
clips come from
obscure European
films if the
previous
century, and the
quality is not
especially good.
On the one hand,
that's a niche
offering; but on
the other hand,
it demonstrates
the true marvel
of the internet:
if an Italian or
Swedish TV
station digs an
obscure tape out
of its archives
and broadcasts
it, the whole
world sees it
within 24 hours.
And, more
important, we
get to see the
naughty bits.
In some ways
the current
world is worse
than the one I
grew up in, but
in terms of the
sharing of
information and
knowledge, this
new world is a
dream come true.
