Annual "Best Nude Scenes" Poll

I wanted to get the poll results online on January 1, as per tradition, but I'm just going to delay the process until we have enough evidence to evaluate Carey Mulligan and Rooney Mara. I can't see any harm in holding it off.

TV Round-Up

American cable TV comes out of the holiday doldrums and starts sailing again this week. In the meantime, here's sexy Mylene Jampanoi in the latest (episode 7) episode of Rani. (Sample below)

  • * Yellow asterisk: funny (maybe).

  • * White asterisk: expanded format.

  • * Blue asterisk: not mine.

  • No asterisk: it probably sucks.

OTHER CRAP:

Wound

(2010)

Wound is a psychological horror film (I think...) about Susan (Kate O'Rouke) who is a very troubled woman. We begin by watching her murder her father and burying him in the backyard. Next, she receives a letter that says that she has a daughter who would like to see her, but Susan has never had a daughter and the only time she was pregnant, at age 14, the baby was stillborn. The now teenage daughter Tanya (Te Kaea Beri) also seems to have her own problems. When they finally meet, it doesn't end well especially from Susan who heads further down a dark path as she dreams of what life would be like with her daughter. This causes her doctor to out her in a mental hospital, but not before she finds out some sort of truth about her daughter. I think... This film is truly baffling to the point of being trite. It's so in love with it's own ideas that it doesn't seems to want to share any conclusions with the audience. Maybe if the film was more interesting, I try to work out what the hell is going on, but Wound is pretty boring. Mind you I wouldn't expect anything less from the director of the also truly baffling Angle Mine which heads down a similar road.
