Those are all good ones,
but I don't think the
results of the poll
would have been any
different if those three
scenes had been among
the choices. We don't
try to get every good
nude scene into the
short list for the
voting, but rather only
those which people might
conceivably choose as
their #1. I wouldn't
expect many people to
have cast their one and
only ballot on any of
those three choices,
given all the excellent
alternatives. We already
had four choices on the
ballot which received no
votes at all of the 1000
cast, and five others
which pulled only a
single tally.
As I looked forward from
the perspective of the
Thanksgiving holidays, I
had every intention of
changing the poll this
year. My intention was
to list every major nude
scene and to allow each
of you to rank your top
choices 1-20, similar to
the way the coaches vote
for the top college
football teams. I
dropped that idea when I
couldn't find the right
software to handle the
balloting.
I'm not opposed to doing
that next year. In such
a ballot, I would have
to list just about every
possible nude scene,
because I'd have to
include anything you'd
put in your top twenty,
as opposed to what I do
now, which is to list
only the ones which
could earn a #1 vote.
That would probably
encompass 200 choices or
more. Maybe far more.
How about 400? It seems
to me that we look at
more than an average of
new scene one per day,
given the proliferation
of pay cable channels
and the foreign stuff.
I'm not opposed to doing
all the work necessary
to pull that off, but
once again I'd need the
right polling software,
which I have thus far
been unable to find. It
would have to be fairly
simple, and capable of
being hosted on my
server, because if
somebody else hosted it,
they might decide
halfway through the game
that our material was
inappropriate.
Any suggestions out
there?
TV Round-Up
Sunday will once more
provide the bulk of our
great scenes this year.
We have several from
last night, but we're
already seen them
because of the screeners
sent out by Showtime.
