Some miscellaneous stuff
  • For those of you who have been kind enough to enquire after my dad, he's very ill, but doing as well as can be expected. I think he and I would both prefer that you remember his youth, so I added some pictures and details to his "home page", including a team photograph of the legendary 1935 Philadelphia Cheesesteaks, a team chosen by true baseball experts as the greatest ever. They were so good that the Yankees insisted on batting first even when they played exhibitions in Yankee Stadium, because if the Cheesesteaks batted first, sometimes darkness would halt the game before the Yankees had a chance to bat. Here's the page.

Tuna's comments: "Roger Vadim's Night Games is critically lambasted everywhere I look. It is most often described as a story about a woman who can only get off with a guy wearing a feather suit. This is enough to make me sure that these critics did not watch the film. It is actually about a woman (Pickett) who has been unable to come to terms wit a brutal rape for years. Conventional psychology has failed her, in that she can't even talk about it. The problem is so severe that it is beginning to ruin her two-year marriage. When her husband leaves her alone while going to Europe on business, she is seduced by one of her husband's authors (the husband is a publisher), who has enough insight to realize that the key to her problem is using fantasy, and her sense of the artistic, to face her problems. He employs costumes and masks she has created to create the necessary mood. She experiences this partially as fantasy and partly as reality, and is hence able to let herself go and enjoy the sex.

This is hardly a "story about a woman who needs feathers to get off." That being said, this film will not make my top 200 list. Although some arty photography was required, there was entirely too much of it. Also, it takes several watchings to really understand the plot. I give bonus points to anyone who attempts a mainstream film with significant erotic content, but this one missed the mark for me. It is more likely to appeal to women, who happily use their own fantasy to fill in the holes.

The is another RARE-OOP. Like most 20-year-old VHS tapes, the quality is nowhere near DVD, and the photography added extra challenges, but I was able to get results that I like. Cindy Pickett and Joanna Cassidy have 135 credits between them, are both in their 50's, and are both still working. A great film for exposure, we have breasts, full-frontal, and lots of see-through.. Cassidy can also be seen nude in Pickett #4 and briefly in Pickett #1"

"Hi, Scoop. Perhaps this weekend's contribution is not as good as some of my others, but its getting harder to find new material. Two Aussie actresses. Alison Routledge in "The Quiet Earth" and Tara Morice in "Metal Skin". Never heard of Tara. Perhapos she's better known down under. The other is Jennifer Inch in "Frank and I". The tape was poor, and so unfortuinately is the collage."

+ Ever wonder what the Playboy, Page Three, and other softcore models do when not modeling for Playboy or the British tabs? Fred does. Fred, or as he is known in the ancient Elventongue, "Frodo", specializes in "outing" the harder action from these ostensibly wholesome girls. Today's comments:

"This is a collage of pictures of a model named Ice at the Ultimate Live Girls website.

In this ad, they claim that she is Kristi Cline, Playboy Playmate for September 1999. It looks like her but it's hard to tell with Playboy because they retouch their photos. Ice has visible moles that are not visible on photos of Kristy Cline. The website claims to have photos of Kristi getting up close and personal with herself. I don't know since it's a pay site and I'm notoriously cheap."

  • HUMOR: I'm not kidding when I say that alleged former actor Charlon Heston, president of the National Rifle Associatoon, responded to the recent wave of school shootings by saying that we should arm the teachers. I might go back to teaching in that case, in my new professorial identity of Dirty Scoopy. "Now Timmy, I might have used up all my bullets on Mary when she 'forgot' her homework or I may have one left. But before you reach for that paper wad, realize that this is a Buntline Special, the longest and meanest-looking handgun ever made. Now, you have to ask yourself when you reach for that paper wad .. do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?". Here is the staff of St Bernadette's Sacred and Peaceful Heart Elementary School. They are sure to inspire an increase in prayer, especially to St Jude, patron saint of lost causes. "Is that a food fight starting, boys and girls? Is that a Twinky you're about to throw, young man? Go ahead, Timmy, make my day". It's the only Catholic School where they send you to the principal's office in a body bag.

  • I don't know if you all read Charlie's page every week, but here's a rare treasure in his update, if you missed. Do you remember Katrine Boorman, daughter of the director, who got naked to play Igrayne in her father's masterpiece, "Excalibur"? Well, 15 years later she's still shedding her clothing in "Le bonheur est un mensonge". I guess taht means she speaks French as well, since this was a French TV movie. Charlie can be found at www.brenus.net, and you must go there for his Friday updates!
