Lady Bug is a thriller set mostly on a boat where after another bender, Lexie (Rachael St. Rose) hitches a ride on a boat she thinks is going to San Diego, so that she can see her children. Instead, she ends up in the middle of the ocean waking up next to a dead body of a woman who is/was the wife of the boat owner (Christopher Showerman). Stuck in the middle of nowhere with no way to get away, the boat owner attempts to persuade her that she is actually his wife which sort of works as Lexie pumps herself full of drugs that she stole. If a deranged psychopath in the middle of the ocean isn't enough, a hungry shark is lurking outside the boat waiting of one of them to slip off the boat. How is Lexie going to get out of this?

Silly little thriller with an intriguing concept but there's very little tension and between Lexie's reliance on drugs and the boat owner being one of the weakest psychopaths ever put on screen, there's never any doubt as to how this movie is going to go and that's despite some absurd scenes like Lexie going for swim with a clearly visible shark stalking in the area (possibly to deliberately get herself killed) and then freaking out and makes a desperate attempt to get back to the boat. Or a sex scene soon after the boat owner is stabbed. There really isn't a lot to recommend this movie but the completely unnecessary nude scene from Rachael St. Rose is pretty nice.
