Dead Ant is a horror comedy where a band called Sonic Grave, who once had a hit but are just trading off of it, are on their way to No-chella, a low rent Coachella rip-off. With lead singer Merrick (Jake Busey) and his girl Love, (Cameron Richardson), lead guitarist Pager (Rhys Coiro), drummer Stevie (Leisha Hailey), bassist Art (Sean Astin) and managed by Danny (Tom Arnold), the band stop off at a store in the desert and pick up some special mushrooms from Bigfoot (Michael Horse) and Firecracker (Danny Woodburn) with the warning to not disturb nature or something grave will happen. They also come across two young women, Sam and Lisa (Sydney Sweeney and Joi Liaye) who are also on their way to the festival. They camp out for the night and take the mushrooms but Art disturbs an ant nest and they attack and kill art and they go onto the band and the two women. As the ants get bigger and become more aggressive, the band resort to desperate measures to escape the ants. Fun B-movie that never takes itself seriously, not great but just a good watch.
