The BBC has been airing a new show called Versailles. It's an odd hybrid of "talking head" documentary and dramatic re-creations taken from some French movies! The Louis XV section is illustrated with footage from a 2009 TV film called "Louis XV, le soleil noir," featuring nudity from Coralie Revel as Madame Du Barry. Also in the clips: Lea Wiazemsky, Blandine Bury and Marie-Clotilde Ramos-Ibanez as a trio of sisters who all became Louis' mistresses.
