First there is Flemish model Ariane Ryckaert. She is 28 now and her modeling days are nearly over so she's looking for something new. She found it in adapting a book of famous but deceased Flemish author Louis Paul Boon into a monologue which she enacts on stage. The name of the book is "Mieke Maaike's obscene jeugd" ( Mieke Maaike's obscene youth ). Ariane performs practically the whole monologue in mimimal attire and her words make Jay Leno's monologue look very tame indeed. Here is a small excerpt that was shown on TV ( first in Dutch, then translated as litterally as possible ):

Dutch Playboy already contacted her and it looks as if she will accept their offer to pose. She also said she had already posed for American Playboy two years ago, but until now she didn't give permission to publish because her manager thought it could harm her career at that time. If Playboy USA does run the pictures she would become the first Belgian (and Flemish) playmate to grace the pages of the US edition. As for the book, I tried to order a copy but it's sold out everywhere. I think I know why.

The prince has no comment on this matter. This causes quite some speculation in Belgium. I don't know what the fuss is really about since both are not married, it's not that they are doing something wrong.

Tuna's comments about this new release: "Kate's Addiction (1999) has plot enough to make a decent movie. Kate has been taking drugs and having sex with Sara since high school. On a short vacation in LA, Sara falls in love and plans a wedding. Kate goes to LA to try to prevent it. The harbor settings are lovely, and both women are attractive, but the writing is so weak that the film has no chance. Kari does the "evil" scenes well, but it otherwise flat, and Farrah can barely act at all. I would describe the film as a soft-core without the requisite nudity level. "Beau Pere", from Tuna

"Beau Pere" is the infamous 1981 French classic, directed by the highly respected Bertrand Blier ("Get Out Your Handkerchiefs", "Going Places"). It is a classic because it is highly regarded by many critics, and it is infamous becuase it is about pedophilia and was banned from US distribution. There is an especially incisive review of the film and its history here.

Ariel Besse was praised lavishly for her portrayal of the girl who initiates a relationship with her stepfather after her mother dies. Despite the critical raves, she never appeared in another film, and I was not able to find any biographical information on her.
