TV Round-Up
Hemlock
Grove is yet
another original Netflix
series. "A supernatural
murder mystery set in a
town filled with
gruesome secrets." Like
werewolves, e.g. As per
the Netflix business
model, all episodes are
released simultaneously.
Shiva
Negar in episode 1
Emily
Piggford in episode
7-8
Kaniehtiio
Horn in episode 9.
She comes by her unusual
first name from her
mother, who is a Native
North American, a Mohawk
from Quebec. (Her dad is
a generic white dude of
mixed European
ancestry.)
===========
Defiance
is a new series on the
SyFy network. The
premise is that aliens
have come to Earth
thinking it uninhabited,
but find that they have
to share it with humans.
Like the X-Men movies,
it uses a sci-fi
framework to explore
various aspects of
real-life prejudice. See
more details in the Spaz
section.
Jaime
Murray in episode 1.
She's not nude, but her
costume is about as skimpy
as possible on basic cable.

The
TV caps this
week come from
Two Guys and a
Girl (aka Two
Guys, a Girl
and a Pizza
Place). It was
made over 4
seasons from
1998 to 2001.
Obviously, no
nudity but
I've always
had a bit of
thing for
Traylor
Howard. Later,
Suzanne Cryer
added to the
sexiness in
the show.
Although, a
lot of the
show was
formulaic for
a sitcom, it
did have some
more original
ideas, e.g.
'Two Guys, a
Girl and
Barenaked
Ladies', and
the last show
that had an
ending that
depended on
the votes of
the viewers.
These first
episodes are
from the first
season and
were made in
1998.
