TV Round-Up

There was nudity in episode 8 of The Borgias, but it consisted of unidentified topless women in a bordello.

There was some great nudity in episode 5 of Game of Thrones. Esme Bianco offered the full monty in a scene that may eventually compete for annual honors. (Samples below)

Xanadu, e5 and e6 and Vous les Femmes, s4 are covered in the French Screen Nudity section below.

  • * Yellow asterisk: funny (maybe).

  • * White asterisk: expanded format.

  • * Blue asterisk: not mine.

  • No asterisk: it probably sucks.

OTHER CRAP:

Penelope Leveque in this week's episodes of Xanadu, the hot and frank new TV series.

Judith Siboni and Olivia Cote in Vous les Femmes, a French comedy series, s4 e1

Magali Woch in Sybille, a 14-minute short created in 2010.

Florence Thomassin in La Ballade de Kouski. IMDb does not include this in its database, but it is a 2008 film created by Olivier Langlois.

Juliette Degenne L'Immorale. IMDb calls it, "A 1980 soft-porn film of a beautiful, high-class call girl who loses her memory after a car accident and must re-discover her lost identity." I imagine this will be new to you. The film is obscure enough that it has received only 18 votes at IMDb.

Good Neighbors

(2010)

Good Neighbours is a Canadian black comedy thriller about 3 inhabitants in a Montreal apartment block over an extremely cold winter beginning with the Quebec secession referendum in 1995. Louise (Emily Hampshire) is a bit of a sour puss who works at a Chinese restaurant and has 2 cats. Spencer (Scott Speedman) is a wheelchair bound shut-in whose only outside contact seems to be from a masseuse and Louise, and they mainly talk about a serial killer who is stalking girls in Montreal. Victor (Jay Baruchel) is a new arrival from China who attempts to build a friendship with Louise and Spencer. Oh and there's a French-Canadian woman who also lives at the apartment building and is a miserable drunk, hates Louise's cats and generally complains about everything in French.

When the serial killer knocks off Louise's co-worker, Victor offers to walk Louise home from work, which she accepts. Then, the crazy neighbour has had enough of the cats and poisons them to death, and Louise decides to hatch a rather devious plan to bump off the neighbour and make it look like Victor has done it. Oh and Spencer has a secret, which may just play into Louise's hand for her devious plot to work.

Interesting little black comedy that has a powerhouse performance from Emily Hampshire, particularly when she dreams up her murder plot which shows her to be extremely devious and willing to do anything to get her revenge. Also the film reminds me of a similar Canadian film in Love and Human Remains, but is superior to that film as the main focus of Good Neighbours is not which one is the serial killer (*spoiler* actually the serial killer isn't determined by the end of the film) but around the relationship between the three protagonists and their increasingly weird and secretive behaviour. Well worth a look if you like a murderous black comedy.

Damn, Emily Hampshire's fully nude scene is incredibly dark. I did what I can, but it's still pretty dark. The collages are problematic as well, not the seams though, the dark makes things easier... Hopefully I can get my hands on a HD source to improve what I have up.

Film Clips

Chelan Simmons in Tucker & Dale vs Evil, a cult comedy from last year (7.7 at IMDb). "Two lovable West Virginian hillbillies, are headed to their "fixer-upper" vacation cabin to drink some beer, do some fishin', and have a good time. But when they run into a group of preppy college kids who assume from their looks that they must be in-bred, chainsaw wielding killers, Tucker & Dale's vacation takes a bloody & hilarious turn for the worse." See below for a sample.

Rosamund Pike in Barney's Version (2010). Minimal nudity (see below). Here's just about the strangest romantic pairing in history. The troll-like Paul Giamatti gets ready for some hanky-panky with the English mega-babe Rosamund Pike. This film won seven Genie awards from the Canadian academy this March, but lost the Best Picture statue to Incendies, which was Canada's entry into the Oscar race for Best Foreign Film.

Valeria Solarino in Vallanzasca: Gli angeli del male (2010), a biography of Milanese bank robber Renato Vallanzasca,  in 720p. Quite a hot scene. See below.

Bianca Kajlich in the "Rules of Engagement" TV series, a non nude for Bianca fans. See below.

Emma Suarez and Rosario Flores in Contra el Viento, a 1990 film featuring a pre-fame Banderas
