Concussion is a drama about Abby (Robin Weigert), a bored lesbian housewife with Kate (Julie Fain Lawrence) who decides to take account of her life after being injured by her son. She decides to finally convert an apartment in the city with the help of Justin (Johnathan Tchaikovsky) and they get to talking about Abby's non-existent sex life. He suggests that she should pay for sex with another woman, which she does, but that becomes expensive. Justin then suggests that she could become the one that gets paid for having sex with other women with the help of his girlfriend, The Girl (Emily Kinney), who makes these things happen. But, Abby is very reticent about this and only starts doing it on her own terms, i.e. she meets them first and only at her done up apartment. After a while, Abby sets up a select list of clientele that she has sessions with a couple of days a week, but all this doesn't help her relationship with Kate and with a buyer interested in the apartment and the arrival of a local housewife she has an interest in for a session, Sam (Maggie Siff), things are going to spin out of control fast. Interesting little movie with a strong lead from the always great Robin Weigert and interesting to find out that lesbian housewives and just as bored/bad as straight housewives.
