"A Blade in the Dark" (1983)

A Blade in the Dark, or Casa con la scala nel buio, La (1983) is labeled horror, but is equally at home in the thriller genre. Directed by Lamberto Bava, son of Mario Bava, it is clear that Lamberto learned the art of extreme gore and interesting camera angles from his dad. He advances the art on his own, however, by adding real fright, both the startle and suspense type. In an example scene, a woman is fleeing the killer, who has already cut her. She hides behind a chain link gate, and it looks like she might be safe. Suddenly, the knife plunges through the gate, but can't reach her at first. We have the surprise of the sudden knife thrust, followed by the suspense of whether or not the killer can reach her.

The plot is simple, and was written as a four part TV mini-series, filmed on a tiny budget mostly inside a villa, and then was released as a feature film. A composer is hired to score a horror film, and rents a villa for a month to work in. Women start disappearing, and there are many possible suspects. It kept me guessing all the way to the end, but not through plot trickery, as we learn things as the hero learns them. We have breast exposure by Fabiola Toledo as she changes into a swim suite.

IMDB readers have it at 6.0/10, fairly high for Euroshock. I give it a strong C+. The DVD is a decent transfer, and there is a 10 minute interview with the director.

Catch 22 . Excepting only The Catcher in the Rye, there is no post-war novel more revered and more highly regarded than Joseph Heller's 1961 masterpiece. The film version never really caught the wave, but it did feature the first frontal nudity in a mainstream Hollywood picture since the adoption of the notorious Hays Code.

The Funhouse. What better movie to review in The Funhouse! A reader suggestion. 1981 Tobe Hooper horror film with a really creepy setting, but not much of a script.

    • Elizabeth Berridge. She's the girl who played Constanze in Amadeus, then began a steady career in various TV shows as a supporting player. Terrific chest for such a small woman. I suppose she's about 5'2", 95 pounds. She was only 18 or 19 when she made this film, and looks even younger. (1, 2, 3)
    • some very lame strippers (1, 2)

  • Dominique Sanda, topless scenes from "Story of a Love Story" (1973).

  • Gladys Jimenez Very nice breast exposure from "Blowback" (1999).

    "Afraid of the Dark"

Clare Holman is one of the principals in Afraid of the Dark. She plays a blind woman. The star is a young boy who finds himself fascinated with blindness and blind people. Clare takes her top off for a photography session that ends up blinding the photographer! It was a weird film.

  • Clare Holman (1, 2)

    "Happy Face Murders"

This movie is about a serial killer and his mother (played by an elderly Ann-Margret whom I didn't initially recognize). No nudity by Emily Hampshire who was the victim about whom the movie is centered on. The morgue scene nude is obviously a dummy.

Katya Gardner flashes her breasts and she is a prostitute who ends being one of the victims.

  • Emily Hampshire (1, 2)
  • Katya Gardner

"I'm Dancing as Fast as I Can" (1982)

Jill Clayburgh plays a drug addicted film maker and gives us the briefest flash whilst taking a bath. There's also a little pokie action.

  • Jill Clayburgh

    "A Handmaid's Tale"

A Handmaid's Tale is a bit like the movie 1984 in genre. In a futuristic society, Natasha Richardson is used as a baby maker for the family she works for. The father is actually sterile and she ends up having a fling with the son.

  • Natasha Richardson (1, 2)

    "Brave New World"

Another futuristic movie. Rya Kihlstedt gives us the briefest of flashes in one of her bedroom scenes.

  • Rya Kihlstedt (1, 2)

    "Double Impact"

The worst thing about Double Impact is Jean-Claude van Damme. He plays his own evil twin brother so that means there's twice as much of him! Alonna Shaw plays the token female and has a hot scene with one of the brothers (which is actually just a fantasy from the lustful imagination of the other brother).

  • Alonna Shaw (1, 2)

    "Pecker"

I was gazumped by Tuna with his caps from Pecker on Wednesday but I already had these zipped and ready to go so here ya go. If you have seen Tuna's caps don't bother with the first collage of Maureen Fisher. However, I also capped the closing scene that shows some additional views of Maureen.

Also... here are some cleavage caps of Patricia Hearst, more commonly known as the gun-toting SLA terrorist with very wealthy parents and very expensive lawyers. She isn't an actress either.

  • Maureen Fisher (1, 2)
  • Patricia Hearst

    "The Winter Guest"

The Winter Guest is one of those art house movies. The caps of Arlene Cockburn have appeared before but the flash Emma Thompson in the bath is new. I read that Emma is taking a year off to help the underprivileged in Africa.

  • Arlene Cockburn
  • Emma Thompson

    "The Price of Kissing"

Not a lot showing by Pauley P (Perette), just some pokies. She's supposed to be nude in the bath but she's obviously wearing something. Nicole Eggert is nude, but she isn't showing much either.

  • Pauley Perette
  • Nicole Eggert

    "Mike's Murder"

Debra Winger seems quite happy to show her body but in Mike's Murder she only gives us a brief flash in the bath. There are also some lovely pokies as she plays tennis.

  • Debra Winger

    "Our Friends in the North"

In the English TV series, Louise played a good time girl not adverse to using her body to get her own way - even including a ménage à trois (she's the one with the beehive).

  • Louise Salter (1, 2)
  • ZonononZor
Wow! Here are four extremely artistic collages from the movie "Lipstick Camera" (1994). Since it stars Corey Feldman, there's no real need for me to see it since I can assume with 99% accuracy that it will suck, but that's besides the point. Zon did a great job and even though these are light on the nudity, they are beautiful collages!

If ever there was an actress who has been all over the filmworld map, it's Sandahl Bergman. From "Conan the Barbarian" to "Airplane II: The Sequel" to a whole bunch of no-budget sci-fi flicks to a slew of mediocre erotic thrillers. Name the genre, she's probably been there. But one thing is for sure, she's stayed in kick ass shape over the years. Check out Link #2. She was around 43 or so when these sexy scenes were filmed. But if you really want to see her at her topless finest...the dance number from "All That Jazz" is a must see!

  • Sandahl Bergman (1, 2)

  • Ele Keats

  • Charlotte Lewis

  • Artisane
Karen Elson Topless, but with skin that makes Rose McGowan look like a Hawaiian native.

Ana Claudia Michels A B&W with single breast exposure.

Frankie Rayder See-thru only, but there are hints of nipple and bush.

Guinevere Seenus Full frontal scan featuring great breasts and blue bush!

    Blackshine's Fashion Scans
  • Thumbnail Previews (1, 2)

  • Donatella Versace

  • Helena Christensen. Link #2 has the only topless nudity in today's batch, but links #5 and 6 aren't too shabby either.
