New Netflix series for Brazil. Season 1 in 1080hd. The default language on this particular soundtrack is French dubbing, but you can change it to English dubbing or the original South American Portuguese. It matters little because there is not much dialogue.

There is a lot of nudity in the series, but so far I only have an ID for Laura Konrad in episode 2.

Naked News

I suppose Laura Desiree is not really a celebrity. She's one of the anchors on that show. But she went the extra mile for this segment by dancing completely and explicitly naked on a moving #1 train in the New York subway system.

Ruby in Paradise

Hadn't seen Ruby In Paradise before and had no idea what the movie is about but as soon as the director Victor Nunez's (Ulee's Gold, Coastlines) name came up, I knew exactly what I was in for; a wistful journey set in Florida.

An early role for Ashley Judd as Ruby, a woman running from a bad relationship and ending up in Florida where she gets a job at a store as she settles in. She is warded off a relationship with the shopowner's son Ricky, but ends up with him briefly before moving on and meeting Mike (Todd Field) and they sort of have a relationship while Ruby settles into her job quite nicely. Then Ricky returns and tears her comfortable world apart in one fell swoop and then she has to struggle on with no job and dwindling money.

Very good movie about a woman's struggle just to find equilibrium and Judd is excellent, this movie proves she was going to be a star and not long later she was. Not a lot happens but it's never not interesting and the movie is a pretty steady ride with a satisfying ending more than a happy ending. Enjoyed the movie much more than I was expecting.
