It is thematically akin to Carmen, in that the protagonists are a Basque terrorist and a hooker. Carmelo Gómez comes to Madrid to set off several car bombs, culminating in one aimed at police headquarters. His neighbor is Charo (Ruth Gabriel) and her roommate, Candela Peña. Gómez is posing as a photographer. When Charo is locked out of her apartment, she ends up in Gómez's bath tub, and poses for him. She won't allow him to touch her, as she is faithful to her boyfriend who is in prison. Oh, and she is a heroin addict. She and her roommate are sort of a "tag team." Charo, strips and dances for the John, while the roommate sucks him off.
Gómez is smitten, and pursues Charo, which infuriates fellow terrorist Elvira Mínguez. From there, the story is evenly divided among terrorism and sex, all leading up to a fantastic surprise ending. Ruth Gabriel didn't hold anything in reserve for later roles, and showed us everything including a gyno shot. Peña shows breasts in a bath tub along with Gabriel, and Minguez shows her breasts getting ready for bed in a dark scene. I watched a Spanish Region 2 which is not available in stores (thanks Feliz), but the film is available on Region 1 with English subtitles under the name Running Out of Time. IMDB voters have it at 7.1 of 10. The only reviewer complained that we did not get insightful looks into all the characters, but admitted that it was a great watch. I agree. Lots of nudity, a surprise ending, and a classic theme. What more could you ask for. B-.

"The Bounty Huntress"
The Bounty Huntress (2001) is a direct to vid due for release next week, but IMDB has it as Beautiful Bounty. I only mention that so you can avoid it under either title. It is sort of a tittie flick, at least in terms of how much skin we see, that plays out like a pilot for a cable TV show. Nicki Dolan is a bounty hunter. The bail bondsman she works for assigns her and a rival bounty hunter to bring in a Mafia informant who has skipped bail. Along the way, she screws her ex husband, the deputy DA. Then, near the end, she sleeps with the guy she was chasing.
The two key witnesses are hookers, played by Kymber Lynn and Devinn Lane. All three women show breasts, and some buns. Devinn and Lynn do a little mild girl/girl. The acting is wooden, the plot is hard to follow and not at all engaging, and the exposure is ho-hum. The DVD is a mediocre 4/3 transfer. This one is a D-.

I received a great tip for Region 4 (Australian) DVDs:
"In case anyone wants to try the local ---region 4---stuff about the best place I know of here is www.ezydvd.com.au
"They ship overseas and are pretty cheap--especially since overseas buyers don't have to pay the local GST tax and after you do the currency conversion one of those DVD's that we might pay $25 Aus for works out pretty cheap for someone outside Australia.
"I get a bit of stuff also from Blackstar ---which was mentioned--but sometimes the region 2 DVD has a bit more missing than the region 4 version.If you have a region free player Australia is not a bad choice as our dollar is in the toilet at the moment."
So far, everything he said is true. I found some films on DVD that I have not found elsewhere, the site was well organized, and prices after currency conversion are unbeatable. I will let everyone know about shipping when I receive my first order.

- Virginie Ledoyen, the young French actress in a topless scene from "Fin août, début septembre" aka "Late August, Early September" (1998). American audiences last saw her in the DiCaprio flop, "The Beach". Since then she's been busy modeling for L'Oreal, having her first child, and recently hosting an awards presentation at the Cannes Film Festival.

A lot of mates today, both of the Hef- and Guccione- varities.
When last we saw Brande Roderick (Heffer of the month, April 2000, of the year 2001) she was on her way to work, appropriately enough Inside Club Wild Side. What she does there is engage in, uh, on-stage procreative activities. As if. Where does she think she is? Amsterdam? So we got ten things to show you. First six are collages, the last four are single frames. All show breasts (the second and fifth collages are the most impressive), the third collage shows some Brande bum and the sixth collage give us a peak at Brande bush. Other highlights: the first collage shows some sport-blowin' (as opposed to the sport-humpin' in most of the others) and the fourth collage suggests the male-type partner of Brande's has a most unusual construction, since the angle between his active zone and hers suggests his tools drops straight down for about a foot, then takes a 120 degree bend and extends for at least another foot. Guess that's why he's dressed like Zorro.
Next up is a set of Tuna caps from the movie, Cave Girl... not to be confused with the Ringo Starr opus, Cave Man. This one has former Pet and B-movie queen, Michelle Bauer in a kick-ass locker room scene. She and three other babes get topless, but here we isolate Michelle. Also in this cinematic achievement without parallel is cute-as-a-button Cindy Ann Thompson in the title role as a precious blonde cavegirl with blonde hair, exquisite features and shaved legs. Yep, she and Darryl Hannah must have been sisters 30 or 40 thousand years ago. Cindy did two movies... this and Tomboy... showed the goodies in both and then seems to have gone home to Indiana or wherever. Too frigging bad.
Okay, back to Hefmates. Next up is Katie Lohmann and her robo-hooters in Tuna caps of The Model Solution. Katie has the appearance of a classic Hollywood blonde bimbo, although I am sure she has the IQ of a brain surgeon.
PETScan gets back into the loop with some scans of former Pets who did some on-screen work.

New on DVD is "Teenage Caveman", the Larry Clark directed installment of the made for Showtime "Creature Features" series that aired last October. In typical Clark fashion, he used a bunch of young actors with little or no experience and/or talent. Add a mediocre plot, silly monster make-up and over acting that would make Shatner blush, stir and serve. What you end up with are these 'caps of the nude scenes since they are the only good things to come from this film.
All of the actresses show breasts, Tiffany Limos adds some rear nudity.
