Vampire Obsession (2001 or 2000) is a video from the folks at Seduction Cinema. IMDB hasn't heard of it. It is a blood drinkers story. A hooker leaves her lesbian girlfriend for her nights work, and, for some reason, is looking for tricks in a graveyard. She is approached, and goes home with a woman. After sex. the woman offers her a lot of money if she will let her cut her arm and drink some blood. After that, the hooker becomes obsessed with the combination of blood drinking and hot sex. The two of them make casual meals of two more women, then the girlfriend shows up to see what happened to her friend, and is given the same treatment. So much for plot. The quality of this release is far below Seduction Cinema's usual releases. The entire film is green, much of it is shot against bright Sunlight coming through a flimsy curtain, and it was nearly impossible to find frames without motion blur.

There is, however, some good news. The film is chock full of real lesbian sex. At least, real in the sense that you see tongues licking labia. The five women in the film show everything, but I was not able to find clear bush shots of all 5. The other good news is that it is the film premier of Anoushka as the hooker, who also appeared for Seduction Cinema in Playmate of the Apes. She then moved to the UK, where she has become a major adult star, with her own Web site. Along the way, she has had a boob job. So here, we have the first film appearance, and pre surgery. Her girlfriend was played by Seduction Cinema regular Darian Caine, and the blood drinker by Jade DuBoir. The two light snacks were played by AJ Kahn and Allanah Rhodes. Frankly, although there was some hot action, I found most of the film rather boring and repetitive, and the sound track was more like recent hard core work, that is, a series of the same loud chords over and over. There was little dialogue, which was not all bad, as Anoushka's Russian accent was still very thick. The making of footage included on the DVD was more entertaining than the actual film, with the girls goofing on set. There are several good lesbian kisses. With the poor story, and the technical problems, this is a D at best. Fans of Anoushka will want to see it, however.

This is the highly acclaimed Spanish movie "Dias contados", on a non-anamorphic, undersaturated DVD with hard-coded subtitles that can't be turned off (and they impinge upon the viewing area, thus affecting captures). Too bad, because it is a good movie. (By the way, it looked great on my TV, but not so good on my PC. Anamorphic transfers, a must for PC viewing and capturing, don't seem to be as important for TV viewing.)

Imanol Uribe copies Luc Besson's style so closely that you'd think it was a Besson movie if it were in French or English instead of Spanish. Like Besson's La Femme Nikita and The Professional, it is a brilliantly photographed character study of hard-core criminals and other lowlifes, which breathes life into the seedy and despicable characters. If you read about some of these characters in the newspaper, like Besson's hit man Leon, or Uribe's terrorist Antonio, neither of whom has a last name, you would think they must be soulless beasts, but these movies examine them as the complex humans they are.

Actually, if these films stopped at showing them realistically, I would be much happier. Unfortunately, they go past realism and actually romanticize them. That  makes it difficult to remember that they are terrorists, hit men, and junkies, that the terrorist kills innocent bystanders and babies, and the junkies will all die young, ugly, and desperate. Oh, well, I guess it's just a story, and a good one at that, with an appropriate surprise ending.

• Kiwi actress Rosalind Allen has a very brief bit of breast exposure in scenes from "Pinocchio's Revenge" (1996).

Then it's on to an actress called only by the name Mia (quite attractive I thought) showing her breasts for a movie audition (nice boobs) and then working the pole in a strip club.
