Friends With Benefits

Who doesn't like Mila Kunis? We would all love to see her naked, so I would be really excited about this clip from Zorg, even if it is from some joker's home camera, except for one thing: Mila has already told a bunch of talk show hosts that she used a butt double. So, here's a crappy cam version of some random woman pretending to be Mila Kunis  (see below). Doesn't sound very exciting when you put it that way, does it?

 

 

Doktor Zhivago

I watched this recent (2006) Russian TV version of the Nobel-winning epic novel for one of my classes. I did enjoy seeing a reasonably faithful mini-series adaptation of Pasternak's novel, but the damned thing is more than 8 hours long, and the only nudity is a brief see-through followed by a downblouse with a peek of areola. The actress is named Varvara Andreeva.

 

  • * Yellow asterisk: funny (maybe).

  • * Blue asterisk: not mine.

  • No asterisk: it probably sucks.

Occasionally a film comes along which is destined to reach beyond its time and place to become part of the world's literary canon and a nation's cultural landscape. In previous generations, there have been such treasures as Casablanca, The Seventh Seal, and The Godfather. In 2011, we have "42nd Street Pete's Busty Babe Bonanza," which somehow fashioned a poignant epic from crappy 40-year-old footage of:

Can two such cultural touchstones co-exist? Of course. Gone With the Wind and Citizen Kane were both made at about the same time, so it's no surprise that "Busty Pete" was foreshadowed by another unqualified masterpiece made just a year ago.
