Sorted (2000) stars Matthew Rhys who has come to the city to take care of his brother's effects and acquaint himself with the circumstances surrounding his untimely death. He meets his brother's girlfriend and discovers that his attorney brother was heavily into the rave scene and recreational use of drugs. He finds himself drawn into the rave scene, and begins to suspect foul play. In a less than brilliant move, he decides to sample drugs as well, which almost leads to his undoing. There are bad men aplenty, and more than enough colorful characters to populate the film.

He ends up in bed with Fay Masterson (Eyes Wide Shut). She shows breasts. Her credits in TV and film list 58 projects dating back to when she was 14.

IMDb readers say 5.4. Scoopy trashed the film, then awarded a C. I found the villain irritating, and was put off by many scenes at raves with painful music and trick lighting, but would agree that it is watchable, as long as you can stand the music. Note that, since Scoopy's review, it has become available at Amazon on Region 1 DVD.

Sacrifice

Sacrifice (2000) is an HBO movie staring Michael Madsen as a career criminal recently arrested for bank robbery, whose daughter is killed by a serial killer. He escapes, and decides to do what the police have been unable to. He makes use of underworld contacts, a hooker with a heart of gold, crooked cops, and anything else he can find. He finds a common trait in all the victims, which leads him to the killer.

We have nudity from Leslie Harter Zemeckis, Jamie Luner and Michelle White.

IMDb readers say 4.4. I found the ending predictable, but enjoyed it anyway. This is not great cinema, but is certainly watchable.
