Early 90s erotic noir thriller. Basically the story of a dumb farm boy (Stephen Baldwin) who's never left home and after his father dies, he's left alone with the farm. Soon, a roaming woman (Jennifer Rubin) comes across his path and begins to ingratiate herself onto him and it's the first attention he's ever gotten from a woman. Then a real estate broker (Patsy Kensit) attempts to buy the farm from him and so she ingratiates herself onto the farm boy and life has never been better. At the same time, there's a bank robbing spree in the area and it comes close to home when the local bank is robbed when the farm boy is there and then mysteriously ends up at his farm harassing the roaming woman and in the commotion, she ends up killing the robber. That's when the two woman hatch a plan to rob a bank using the robber's method as the police don't know the robber is dead and drag the farm boy into it. And then everything changes for the worse. OK movie that rolls along with plenty of sex and then sudden bursts of violence but isn't without some absolute silliness. I mean this movie gives it's dopey main character two women to play with and they both spend a lot of time talking about their respective sisters. Let me see, are they sisters? Now they're making out, oh boy... Then there's Patsy Kensit's accent where she speaks in her normal British accent for most of the movie and then a howler of twist happens in the end where Patsy starts speaking with a southern American accent and then you realise why she spoke normally throughout. Having said that, I'm always up for a noir thriller and plenty of nudity helps.

I had a DVD of Bitter Harvest that I was almost going to cap recently but a HD version came out, so that was a bit of luck. I've put both versions up, the fullscreen version shows a bit more in some parts and the widescreen also does in some shots.
