Brainscan informed me
that Candice also had a
brief nude scene in an
obscure 1971 film called
T.R. Baskin, which
co-starred James Caan
and Peter Boyle. While
this film has never been
released on DVD, it is
available for download
on iTunes, so I watched
it and captured the
fleeting nude scene
(breasts from the side).
It was a much better
film than I expected.
It's the story of a
small-town Midwestern
girl trying to start a
new life in Chicago. In
addition to some good
performances, two things
make the film watchable:
(1) although it
exaggerates the
depersonalizing nature
of a big city for the
purpose of black humor,
it tries to keep the
characters as close to
reality as possible, so
some scenes are touching
and many scenes cut
close to the bone; (2)
the film can be quite
humorous. Candy's
character is sarcastic,
and the author gave her
some damned funny
one-liners.
