Paradise Club is well, I dunno, an almost plotless drama set in the late 60s in a go-go club called The Paradise Club. Catherine, stage name Naja (Elizabeth Rice), is a hippie chick looking for meaning while dancing at the club run by Earl (Eric Roberts) with her two friends Tulsa (Nicole Arianna Fox) and Tabitha (Tonya Kay). She thinks she's met the love of her life in singer Ben (Evan Williams), but doesn't let herself fall for him. Things are going great for the club, but the Vietnam War is dragging on and the free love lifestyle is about to abruptly end with 1970 approaching and the girls and Earl cope by doing a shitload of drugs, so much that it makes Earl go into a major debt and threatens the viability of the club. As Catherine spirals out-of-control, she hopes that Ben will save her. Or something.

Very little goes on in this movie, lots of narration which sort of reminds me of a Terrence Malick type movie although less interesting, playing more like a too obvious metaphor for finding 'paradise'. There's even an Adam and Eve scene, just to hammer home how obvious it is. Thank fuck there's an absolute shitload of fantastic nudity, mainly from Elizabeth Rice, who I quite liked in From Within and is the only reason to watch Buttwhistle, which she also has a couple of nude scenes in.
