"Bye Bye Baby" (1988)

Bye Bye Baby (1988) is the story of a married couple (Carol Alt and Luca Barbareschi) who split and start divorce. Luca meets a beautiful blonde pool hustler (Brigitte Nielsen), while Alt makes time with a doctor she works with (Jason Connery). The four of them then play swap around for the rest of the film. For such a sexy plot outline, there is precious little nudity. We see breasts from both women, and Nielsen's buns in dark sex scenes.

IMDB says 3.9/10, and Nielsen was nominated for a Razzy. The DVD is very poor quality, probably due to the original source material. I( can think of no reason to recommend this film. D.

    "The French Connection" (1971)

The French Connection (1971) is being released finally in a Deluxe set that includes both French Connection 1 and 2, and an entire DVD of special features for French Connection 1. It is refreshing to see a studio release the deluxe edition first, rather than a bare bones edition, then increasingly more desirable ones. When I say this in the theaters, I thought it was a good flick with some real high points, a new approach to an action film, but a little slow, especially in getting started. I had not seen it in 30 years, and my opinion hasn't changed, except that it did become the model for a lot of crime actioners.

For the few who don't know the story, it is about two New York narcotics officers, Gene Hackman as Popeye Doyle and Roy Scheider as Buddy Russo, who nearly accidently uncover a plot to smuggle a lot of heroin from Marseilles to New York. The head of the "French Connection" is played by Fernando Rey. The film is based on a true story, as are all three of the principles. Doyle's character was, in fact, even more interesting than depicted in the film. He always played bad cop, was fond of beating up suspects, drank himself into a stupor after work, then arrested some young girl on a trumped up charge and took her to his messy apartment. This is partly depicted in the film, and provides the only exposure that made it into the final cut. Russo, as usual, comes to wake Doyle up for work, and finds him handcuffed to his bed. We see Maureen Mooney's butt when she walks out of the shower and is surprised by Russo's presence. The deleted scenes show more of Doyle harassing and arresting her. In another deleted scene, a French hot man is shown with an unidentified dominatrix getting whipped.

In the film, as in real life, they never did get "Frog 1," the Rey character, and all of the heroin vanished from police lock-up. IMDB readers say 7.7/10, Maltin awards a perfect 4 stars. The film won 5 Oscars (Picture, director, editing and writing) and was nominated for three more. It beat out some pretty good competition, including A Clockwork Orange, Hospital, The Last Picture Show, Klute, McCabe and Mrs. Miller, Nicholas and Alexander and Fiddler on the Roof. Clockwork Orange and Last Picture Show are now rated much higher at IMDB. The commentary by director William Friedkin mainly concerns the technical aspects of the film. OF interest to me was that casting Rey was a mistaken identity, and the entire film was shot on location. Film buffs need to see this trend setting film, and fans of crime suspense action will also like it. B-.

    "The French Connection II" (1975)

French Connection II (1975) is one of those sequels that just should not have been made. John Frankenheimer takes over the directing reigns, and shoots what should be called Popeye's Revenge. Doyle (Hackman again) comes to Marseiles to kill "Frog 1" (Rey). He does not realize that he has been set up to bring Rey out into the open. In act one, Doyle acts like an asshole. Act 2 has him captured and turned into a heroine addict sandwiched between sloppy drunk episodes, and act three is the final chase scene where Doyle breaks as many laws as he can.

There is no nudity, no basis in fact, and no reason to watch this film. Maltin says 2 1/2, which I find generous. IMDB readers say 6.2/10. Hackman was nominated for a Golden Globe, which was a good call, as he did as much as he could have with this script. Part of the problem in act three was that a cast of thousands were fighting each other, but we didn't know enough about any of the minor characters to tell who was who. I will give it a C, as a mindless and frenzied action thriller.

    Graphic Response
  • Alice Krige. The Borg Queen in a topless love scene from the sci-fi flick, "Habitat" (1997).

  • Laura Harris, also topless in "Habitat". Unlike her nudity is "The Faculty", this scene has plenty of light.

  • Sally Kirkland, topless in her Oscar nominated role as the title character from the movie "Anna" (1987).

Great topless, bikini, and almost frontal nudity 'caps from the Canadian movie "Stardom". The IMDb has several mixed reviews about the movie. Some call it a funny mockumentary, one guy said he didn't get it at all, and others called it pure garbage. The DVD will be available on Tuesday, so I guess we'll have to check this one out for ourselves. If for no other reason...it has at least one beautiful actress that bares her large, natural breasts...'nuff said.

    Salma Hayek
    (1, 2)

Vidcaps from "La Gran Vida" aka "Living it Up". #1 has Salma in pink undies, and if you look really hard, I think there just may be a slight hint of see-thru pube visibility. Or it could just be a shadow that is taunting us. #2 shows Salma in more undies, and in a dark love scene with no exposure. Tuna reviewed this one a few days ago and also included some nude 'caps of unknown strippers. Check out the 09/18/01 edition in the archives for Tuna's 'caps and comments.

    Monica Bellucci

    Sadie Frost

    Winona Ryder

From "Bram Stoker's Dracula". Monica and Sadie show their very lovely breasts. Meanwhile, Winona wears a semi-see-thru outfit, shows some pokies, and even has a nice lesbo kiss with Sadie.

Keeley Hawes Excellent 'caps of her breast exposure in a scene from "The Last September" (1999).

    Penman
    Jamie Lee Curtis
    (1, 2)

    Catherine McCormack

Both ladies showing some brief, but very nice breast exposure in scenes from "The Tailor of Panama".

Angelina Jolie Nice breast visibility as Jolie gets it on with Antonio Banderas in "Original Sin".

    C2000
    "The Inbetweeners" (2000)

Described as a story of sex, drugs, nudity and gratuitous study this comedy follows the fortunes of a group of first years at the University of Great Britain. David (Finlay Robertson) is the typical socially stunted first year, leaving home for the first time and discovering a whole new world out there. All stereotypes of first year life including the "corridor couple, token lesbian and warring students from different social backgrounds who ultimately hook up are represented. This is so true to life that it could have been a documentary of first year student life at any British university. Unlike Road Trip, which was funny, rude and over the top gross out, The Inbetweeners is predictable, unfunny and ultimately too polite.

Featuring a largely unknown cast that is likely to remain so and undoubtedly produced on a small budget, this is a dire film. There is an early warning to David that getting it right will result in sex, drugs and fun, while getting it wrong will earn him a degree. The filmmakers get it wrong and score an F on the Scoopy guidelines. IMDB rates this 5.4 with 7 votes. This will decrease over time. On limited cinematic release in the UK this is available for rental on tape.

Elisabeth Shue A great collage by Dann from the ultra-lame movie, "Link" (1986). Elisabeth shows rear nudity, plus some side breast views.

Jenna Bodnar Full frontal nudity from "The Affair" (1995). Vidcaps by DeVo.

    Julie Graham

'Caps from the movie "With or Without You" (1999) by Scanman. Full frontal nudity in #1, topless in link #2.

    Pamela Anderson

    Thumbnail preview

Excellent scans by Blizcap of Pamela in Front Magazine. Love her or hate her...either way, she does like to take of her clothes! She is mostly, and in some cases, fully nude in all of these scans. Links #3, #4 and #5 all show some nipplage. Fair warning, these puppies are huge..about 475k each. But worth the download if you're Pam fan.

Shannon Elizabeth Another huge, but very nice scan by Blizcap. This is a promo still for "American Pie 2". Shannon looks great in a bikini, but unfortunately, it's Jason Biggs that is topless.

Kate Hudson Topless scene from "Almost Famous". Thanks to nmd.
