"Boogie Nights"

Boogie Nights (1997) - Scoopy promised that I would cover this film, and here are the images. His review hit all of the important points about this fictionalized biopic of John Holmes/homage to the porn industry. I would like to add that Burt Reynolds as producer/director Jack Horner was outstanding.

Juliann Moore - breasts and buns in a sex scene with Dirk Diggler
Heather Graham - all three Bs in a sex scene with Dirk Diggler, and breasts in a deleted scene with Louis Guzman.
Nicole Parker - breasts while nude in a very quick scene
Skye Blue and Summer Cummings - breasts and buns filming a hot tub lesbo scene.
Nina Hartley - Breasts, barely as a promiscuous wife of a crew member.

I enjoyed this a lot the first time I saw it, but it is a film that doesn't improve with watching, and has very little nudity for a film about the sex industry. B-. Tuna

    "Storyville"

    Storyville (1992) takes place in a New Orleans that is dripping with atmosphere, and stars James Spader. He is from relatively new money, a former public defender, and is running for congress with the help of Jason Robards, his hard drinking cigar smoking uncle. He is well behind in the polls. Though the plot kind of wanders, and includes him being seduced by Charlotte Lewis in her fathers dojo. Daddy tapes them to use it for blackmail, but Spaders family got where they are using dirty tricks, and now is no time to start. When Lewis' father gets his throat cut and she is arrested for the murder, Spader decides to defend her.

    Lewis shows buns, and then a side view of her breasts. An unidentified porno model shows massive breasts. IMDB readers have this at 5.4 of 10, and it earned a little over $500,000. Ebert enjoyed it, and I have to admit that I was entertained. It would be easy to find fault with the plot, but, overall, the atmosphere and characters made it worth the watch. C-.

    Maximum Thrust (2003):

    Maximum Thrust, also known simply as Thrust,  is a soft core sex film about street racing. I suppose it is the Citizen Kane of street racing sex films.

    Given the genre, the overview will follow a format appropriate to the consumer interest.

    1. Is the sex hot? Average by genre standards.

    2. Is the sex creative, or creatively filmed? Most of it is standard stuff, but a couple of scenes are inventive. About average.

    3. Is the sex in good lighting? Some yes, some no. Call it average.

    4. Is the nudity comprehensive? Not at all. Only one of the four women does a frontal. The other three offer breasts only.

    5. Are the women attractive? Adequate, not spectacular. Two of the four have real breasts, which most people consider a plus.

    6. Is the performing solid? Yes. It is not Branagh's Henry V, but is average or above average by genre standards.

    7. Are the plot and production values solid? Amazingly, yes. It looks like a real movie, and the plot is almost good enough to hold one's attention without the sex scenes. That is the film's strength. The racing scenes are cool, the film has a good look, and the plot has a beginning, middle, and end. The film is quite skillfully edited.

    Based on this description, this is a C. It is an adequate genre film that will not disappoint you if you read the Q&A above and are still interested. The images aren't bad.

    "The Italian Job"
    This 2003 remake of the 1969 Michael Caine film features great car chases and lots of excitement, as did the original. The movie also turns into a one hour forty minute Mini Cooper commercial, but after watching these little guys scoot around, you may be impressed also. In any case, this is an exciting, ass-kicking, fun movie with Charlize Theron looking great as always.

    It's pokie heaven with tonight's contribution. In Australia, we were fortunate to see most of the first series of Charlie's Angels. I think Farrah Fawcett only wore a bra on a couple of occasions, and even then she looked as though she was smuggling peanuts. So we have plenty of cleavage and pokies by Farrah and a few of the other angels, particularly Jaclyn Smith. Some of these have appeared in the Funhouse, especially Farrah's nip slip in Angels in Chains.


    Moving on to the fourth season, Cheryl Ladd is the one to look out for.
