"Mini-Skirt Love"

Mini-Skirt Love (1967) is another micro-budget Lou Campa skin flick. A teenaged by (played by someone who looks to be in his mid 20s), photographs his mother having sex with her acting coach. When he proudly show them to daddy, a fight ensues that leaves daddy dead and mommy in the funny farm His aunt (Marie Brent) comes to live with him, and the two become intimate almost immediately. Five years later, he walks in on her with the Mary Kay saleswomen and has a threesome. Then mommy returns.

Lots of breasts and bums in this one, including Brent and three unknowns. There is no information available at IMDb. This is possibly a slight improvement over Cool It, Baby, but only slight. At least there was actual dialogue, lame though it was. Again, the sex scenes were not at all explicit, and generated no heat. E+.

    NOTE: because of a unique combination of circumstances with the Windows media player and some substantial bandwidth theft, we will have to do all of our movie files in zip format. Left click on the files as you normally would to view a picture. When you get a choice, click on "save", and put it on your hard drive in the directory of your choice. UnZIP and play from there.

    I know this is not especially convenient, but it allows the film clips to continue. I can protect .zip files from hot-linking in the same way I can protect still images. For some reason, if I protect .avis and .wmvs from hot-linking, they will not play in the Windows media player, and I can't get a satisfactory work-around. Perhaps I will find a better solution, but for now this new policy allows you to continue getting the movie clips you want to see, which is much preferable to my abandoning the clips altogether.

     

    Last Embrace - Part 2

    I always think of Janet Margolin with a certain sadness.

    Part of that has to do with her career, which fizzled after she started as the "it" girl of her time. She got a Golden Globe nomination and a BAFTA nomination for her very first screen role, as the co-star of the much acclaimed David and Lisa. She was only 18 years old then and obviously on the express train to stardom, as Scarlett Johansson seems to be today. That train never stopped at the stardom station. The career disappointment was minor, however, compared to the fact that she died more than ten years ago, of ovarian cancer, although she was just a bit older than Susan Sarandon and Cher.

    Her brother is Stuart Margolin. You absolutely know who he is, even if the name means nothing to you. He was omnipresent on crappy 70s television shows like Love American Style, and is probably best remembered as Angel on The Rockford Files.

    Last Embrace, which was directed by Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs), was Janet's last significant lead in a theatrical film, and I'm pretty sure that this film provided her only screen nudity. She looked great, and was seen topless in three separate scenes: a bathtub scene, a scene in bed, and a shower scene. The bathtub scene is in yesterday's edition.

    FYI when I hypercam vids to make the file size smaller I use DivX MPEG-4 Fast-Motion for the video compressor, then I use virtualdub to compress the audio. The properties for the vids says the video codec:  DivX Decoder Filter & audio codec:  Morgan Stream Switcher which I'm not familiar with. When I compress the audio with virtualdub I use MPEG Layer-3.  A friend of mine told me about compressing the audio about (6) mos. ago. Like I said previously, only been capping for a year & a half & I'm no expert. Hopefully this info will help members with the proper codecs for my vids.
     
    When I cap big brother's I use hypercam mostly & sdp & asfrecorder if the set up allows me. I stopped using camtasia cause the file sizes were always too big, could never figure out the process, over my head lol, plus it cost too much to buy in my opinion.

    I made the .wmv versions of each video. The codecs for these: Windows Video V8, Windows Audio 9. The upside of these is that you know the codecs, and they'll play in the Windows Media Player. The downside is that they are slightly larger, and slightly lower quality.

    Very obscure Canadian road movie with some familiar Hollywood names. Stars a post-Showgirls Liz Berkley who is almost unrecognizable as she kept her clothes on.

    "Fat Girl" I admire movies that try to be realistic and bring out the sordid side of people, and I also admire directors who, in this politically correct world, aren't afraid of being provocative and even controversial. Even so, this 2001 French drama, especially at the end, is nothing but a gigantic punch in the gut, leaving you with nothing but a feeling of hopelessness and despair. It's directed by Catherine Breillat, who also did Romance, another provocative and controversial French film.

    A 12 year old, having fought being overweight all her life, must also fight the sibling competition of her beautiful 15 year old sister (played by then 20 year old Roxane Mesquida). The sister is a flirt, and becomes involved with an older boy intent on taking her virginity. As he makes nightly visits to the bedroom the sisters share, the 12 year old must endure the sounds of sexual advances as she pretends to be asleep.

    The film raised a lot of controversy at the time because of some fairly explicit scenes, but perhaps most shocking is the ending, completely unexpected and producing a major tragedy. While I'm not sorry I watched this film, I can't say I liked it, because basically this film serves up everything not to like.

    "Hound of the Baskervilles"
    Hound of the Baskervilles was packed with British comedians, and you can see Dudley Moore buried in Dana Gillespe's cleavage, but it wasn't funny.


    "Lovin' Molly"
    Some nice naked ladies in Lovin' Molly. Susan Sarandon gives a brief nipple peak and Blythe Danner (Gwyneth Paltrow's mom) gives a good look at her breast and her behind.


    "Songcatcher"
    The nudity in Songcatcher is from a topless but blurry Jane Adams. Janet McTeer shows the faintest of see-through, and Emmy Rossum and E Katherine Kerr are down to their old-style underwear.


    "Small Time"
    The main nudity in the interesting movie Small Time comes from Tracey Ross, who shows everything. Helena May Lim and Maribel are topless, and Rae Dawn Chong is down to her red thong underwear in her brief appearance.

    Juliette Lewis Thanks to Scorpion for these 'caps of Lewis going full frontal in an underwater nude scene from the movie "Blueberry" (2004). The movie has been floating around Europe since February of this year, and will be released on DVD November 2nd as "Renegade".
