Cable round-up

Eastbound and Down not only had no nudity, but Kenny Powers got all soft and sentimental. There was a guest appearance by Matthew McConaughey

Boardwalk Empire continues to be all kinds of awesome and continues to include plenty of nudity. This scene between Aleksa Palladino and Lisa Joyce was kind of an exception to the brilliance in that it seemed to be stranded in the middle of an episode that followed completely different sub-plots. I had to think for a minute about who the characters were and why they were (sort of) important. This interlude seems to have been intended for another episode, then inserted here for some marginal reason like balancing the running times. Not that I object to hot girl-on-girl action, however gratuitous. There are some samples below.

There was one other scene with nudity. Jimmy takes his new ally, another wounded veteran, into his whorehouse/home. The woman in the first moments of the scene is just background decoration, but the woman who plays Odette will probably be identified in time. At the moment, however, I just don't know who she is. Great show; crappy credits.

  • * Yellow asterisk: funny (maybe).

  • * White asterisk: expanded format.

  • * Blue asterisk: not mine.

  • No asterisk: it probably sucks.

Lada Boder in Crash Dive 2, aka "Counter Measures," a 1999 STV film from the acknowledged master of 20th century cinema, Fred Olen Ray.

Sarah Barrand in Stag Night, a 2008 horror film that I don't remember.
