90s update and now for something a little different.
Haven't capped all that many Hong Kong films, probably
zero although I do remember trying to cap Erotic Ghost
Story off VHS back in the day and that didn't end
well. Anyway for some baffling reason, someone decided
to give a Bluray release to this exploitation series
but not the more well known first movie also known as
Naked Killer 2 with the drop dead sexy Chingmy Yau,
but 2 through 4 and not 5. No idea what's going on
there... The titles are very descriptive and don't
necessarily do justice to the movies. They're much
worse than that.
Where to start with this series?
Raped By An Angel 2: The Uniform Fan is where a
dentist who is obsessed with women in uniform becomes
a serial rapist/killer even though his
nurse/girlfriend (Fan Yueng) tries to keep his
temptations under wraps. Meanwhile, a gangster is
released from prison and with his right hand man they
accidentally find one of the dentist's victim, cover
it up and then watch a rival gang get raided led by a
female detective (Athena Chu) who the gangster falls
for and decides to chase after and she sort of seems
interested despite him being a gangster. Well the
female detective has a 17 year-old sister (Chun Chung)
who's horny for her boyfriend but her sister wards him
off. The sister then gets a tooth-ache and guess which
dentist she goes to in her little school uniform.
Well, the dentist must have her, so he gasses then
strips her but his nurse stops him and she gets him to
fuck her instead. But he must have the sister, so he
hatches a plan to get her, her boyfriend and their
friends to use a house to party in, where he drugs the
food, rapes the sister and claims his prize. Except,
the sister wakes up after she was raped and she
accuses him, so the dentist kills her and frames the
boyfriend who he was already framing for the rape.
Well the female detective is mad and wants
justice/revenge, accidentally smashes the boyfriend's
father, a connected city official and she gets
demoted. Well, she moves on but still wants justice
which is helped along when the dentist cons the
boyfriend into jumping off a building. The dentist
sees the former female detective in her new uniform
and he is gone, he now wants her. He woos her and she
accepts a date but notices something about him and
does some investigating which suggests that maybe the
dentist was her sister's killer. She decides to trap
him during the date, with the brilliant idea of
wearing a girl guide's uniform to entice him. Well, it
doesn't go to plan and he gets the upper hand and just
as he is about the rape the female detective, she
breaks free and fights him off with her mother
finishing him by castrating him with a knife,
something she says she's done to two of her former
husbands...
Well, this tasteless movie is even more tastleless
when you realise that the tone of the movie is
comedic. It's truly a head scratcher from start to
finish but then exploitation movies in Hong Kong were
rarely subtle and this movie definitely leaves out the
subtlety. There's so many dubious scenes throughout,
not helped by some shocking subtitles that mangle the
English language so may be some things get lost in
translation, I dunno. The plot itself is a serial
rapist/killer plot mixed with a baffling amount of
romantic comedy but then even the rape scenes are
played for comedy so honestly it's a relief when the
light stuff happens. There are a few laughs along the
way, not the rape stuff but stuff like the dentist
having porno mags at his surgery, the bumbling
gangsters have their moments and any time the female
detective's mother turns up, the castration gag at the
end is actually pretty funny considering what's passed
for comedy beforehand and there's plenty of sleaze for
those who are into that.
Part 3 and 4 will be up in the coming days. Let's just
say that the second movie is the best of this lot and
I've pretty much trashed the movie. So fair warning...
