Johnny's comments about today's new Spanish films:

La Desconocida is about a young woman (Laia Manzanares) who meets a much older man who posed as a teenage boy online and things get very odd from there and he may have more to worry about than she does.

Mi Soledad Tiene Alas is directed by actor Mario Casas and co-written with French actress Déborah François who were in El Practicante together (where his character horribly abuses her) and stars Casas's brother. It's about a couple of graffiti artists/thieves who steal the wrong diamond and have to go on the run.

Menina Casilda is a pandemic set dramedy where an actor kidnaps a woman (Paula Varela) and forces her to watch his one man show which is surely a fate worse than death.

No Mires a los Ojos is a bizarre thriller where a man is sacked from his carpenter job and smashes up the workplace before hiding in an armoire which is being taken to a house. When he gets to that house, he decides to live in the armoire making adjustments to set himself up and watches the couple who bought the armoire unravel. All the while he dreams he is being interviewed about his experiences and forms a crush on the woman (Leonor Watling) and takes matters into his own hands when her husband cheats on her. Very odd but very intriguing.
