Because of all the clips in extremely high definition,  today's page is actually the largest of all time in terms of total storage space. Clear out those hard disks, because the content today adds up to a staggering 1.1 gig.

It's fortunate that I was able to get an early start because the upload took more than 5 hours!! (Upload speeds are much slower than download speeds.)

Addressing an old rumor:

Question:

Isn't Catherine Zeta-Jones actually about ten years older than she claims?

Answer:

No. She is definitely not ten years older than she claims.

 

Here is a Playbill from November of 1985. (click to enlarge)

Zeta-Jones has always claimed that she joined the touring company of Pajama Game at 15, and would have been 16 when this particular Playbill was published. There's nothing in the prose of the pamphlet to contradict that. The blurb says that it was her first adult role, but that is ambiguous. It could mean that it was "the first time she has PLAYED the part of an adult," or "the first time she has played a role since she reached adulthood."

• If the former interpretation is correct, her 1969 birthdate seems to be correct.

• If the latter is correct, she might be at most two years older. I looked up the age of majority in the UK. It has been 18 since 1969. (Before that it was 21!) If this was the first time she had worked as an adult actress, then September of 1967 would be her correct birth date.  Even if we assume this interpretation to be correct, under no circumstances could she have been born any earlier than 1967 because with any earlier date this would not be her first adult role.

I feel that 1969 is probably her correct birth year. In neither case could the correct year be earlier than 1967.
