A brief note on the annual "Best Nude Scenes"
award
A couple of you have written to ask me about the Best Nude Scene tradition,
which is usually going hot and heavy before Christmas. I've been dawdling on
this intentionally. Not that I'm being lazy. To the contrary, I'd rather get
this laborious effort completed before Christmas so I can be lazy during the
holidays. The problem is that we have not yet seen film clips from at least
three, possibly four, scenes which are sure to finish in the top ten.
These three for sure. All are Oscar bait. All have excellent nudity.
- Kate Winslet in The Reader. We have not even seen stills yet!
- Marisa Tomei in The Wrestler. We've seen one collage, but no clips.
- Zoe Kazan in Revolutionary Road. Same deal as Tomei. One collage. That's
it.
Maybe this one:
- Charlize Theron in The Burning Plain. I haven't seen anything except the
brief nudity in the Italian trailer, so I don't know how much exposure there
is, but Charlize is a superstar, so any nudity from her is memorable. The
film may or may not get a theatrical release in North America during
Christmas week, or ever for that matter, but it has been playing in Italy
for the past month and a half.
It
opened #5 in Italy on November 7th
So I keep waiting for clips or screeners to emerge because the competition
would not accurately reflect the year's best scenes unless at least the first
three above are included.

Aria and Friends
Clips and caps from the quintessence of strip and wiggle disks, Aria &
Friends. Aria's friends turn out to be Penthouse Pet Aimee Sweet and pornstars
Goldie McHorn, Nikita Denise and Mariah Milano. As you would expect their
wiggling reveals more than a modicum of pink and a wink of the ol' brown eye.
Julie Andrade comes along for the ride. Hers is a more demure performance, if
you can call dancing starkers demure. Also included is a clip of Pantera, who
also appears to be a pornstar of some sort. BTW, the caps were done by Master
Tuna a long, long time ago - I stitched together two or more of them to make a
single collage for each gal (except Pantera).
